Today was a better day than yesterday with my new housemate. I got brave enough to spend most of the day out from under the bed - even when Xena was loose!

There were times when Xena and I were even in the same room. I didn't let her come near me though. I hissed and growled at her to warn her to stay away. Most of the time though, I'm ashamed to say, I was the one who backed off although the last confrontation we had, I did jump right past her (I didn't have any choice) so I could run back under the bed. But at least now, we're on speaking terms, sort of...

Xena is young but she has to learn that under the bed is MY domain. She kept trying to join me under there, but I'm not ready to share that area yet. In the end, Meowmie put her to bed in the bathroom to stop her annoying me. I can hear her protesting at that still though by scratching at the door.

Meowmie thinks Xena has a prolapsed anus. She's looked it up on the net and that's what it seems like to her so she's going to take Xena to the vet next week. I think she was going to take her anyway just for a general checkup so she can get it checked out while she's there. From what Meowmie has read, it's not serious, just annoying but better to be safe than sorry.
