Well Xena arrived yesterday and so far I'm not impressed! Meowmie left her outside at first and came in and gave me her usual 'I'm home' cuddles but the cries of the new kitty soon caught my attention.
Meowmie bought Xena inside in MY carrier and put it down on the lounge room floor. I circled it for a while and hissed a little bit but I was more curious than anything. She, then, took Xena into the bathroom which is, apparently, going to be her home for the next few days.
I'm really not too sure about this new kitty. I've been hiding under Meowmie's and my bed for most of the time since she's come here. A couple of times I did get brave enough to come out last night while Meowmie was asleep and settle down on top of her to sleep just like we normally do. Meowmie woke up both times and we had cuddles for a bit until Xena started crying in protest at being locked in the bathroom. That was my cue to immediately go back under the bed again (although I did take time out to go and eat my dinner in the meantime which I hadn't eaten earlier).
Meowmie let Xena out to roam the house this morning to get used to it but she didn't let her come under the bed with me - Meowmie knows that is MY spot!
Xena is safely locked back in the bathroom at the moment but I'm still under the bed. I've dictated all this to Meowmie from there.
Maybe soon, I'll get brave enough to come out and face the new kitty... but not just yet!
